Update 25-05-2020.

Good Morning,

Well in the Past few Days a lot of things have happened.

I have been working with my old Photos and over the next Month I will be putting them up here on this site for the benefit of other people who are not so fortunate.

By that I mean the people who are not able to travel to the Locations My Partner and I have been to since 2001.

I moved to NSW, Early May 2001 and since then have done a lot of Travel to Railway Stations in 5 different States of our Wonderful Country.

I hope you enjoy the look back, over the next Month or so.

The Newsletter, Issue number 12 was due on the 21st of may, then I thought I could get it finished by the 28th of May, but I hate to say it may be later than that.

Sandgate Railway Station, February 2002.
Qube Loco's at the Trangie Railway Station Precinct, heading South West on a Container Train.

Here is a couple of Photos I took recently at the Wauchope Railway Station. I decided to drive the car to the Station, and, walk up and down the Platform taking my Photos, all perfectly legal during this period of Covid-19 isolation.

XP 2003 had just returned to service a few days before this Photo was taken, on a return trip to Sydney. XP2005 and XP2006 were the Motive Power for the XPT to Casino.
Had a funny experience with XP 2003, it's engine was not idling when it pulled up at the Station, first time I have experienced this and was advised later this is done regularly.

The Last two Photos were taken in 2002/2003, at the Murrurundi Railway Station.

Just so everybody is aware, I create this Newsletter, to tell everybody about our Caravanning trip between March 2014 and December 2018. We lived in our Van all that time and traveled. Boy do we live in a Very Big Country. We visited a lot of Outback Railway Stations, and they have an appeal of there own.
I retired from Full time work on the 31st of January 2014, and since then we have been to a lot of places in 5 different states. We have not visited WA or Tassie Yet, BUT also there are still a lot of places we have not visited, in the 5 States we have travelled in.

We arrived in Bairnsdale on Boxing Day 2014, after driving from Eden. The Road was very busy with all the Holidaymakers traveling to South Western NSW for the Christmas/New Year break.

The Inlander arriving at Cloncurry from Mount Isa.
Cloncurry in Western Queensland is rich with Railway History, with a Park at the Old Station with Historic Interprative signs telling all about the Railway History. The station building above, houses a QR Ambulance that was used in the old days.

Gawler Central Railway Station, South Australia, we visited here in late September 2015.

While we were staying at Bairnsdale in Victoria, we visited the Stoney Creek Trestle Bridge, what an amazing structure. The Railway Men of the early days built some fantastic infrastructure.

The Explorer at Werris Creek, between Tamorth and Quirindi, NSW.

HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYBODY.
And a Great week if you can.
Regards,
Brian Leedham.
