Clermont Railway Station, QLD.

Today is the 21st of March 2019.
This is the 13th Station for this Newsletter.
I am hoping to complete this Newsletter later this evening.

Ludwig Leichhardt was the first European to pass through the Clermont area in 1845.
Gold was discovered in 1861.
The Town Reserve was proclaimed o March the 25th 1844.
The town Clermont was named after Clermont-Ferrand in France.
State School opened on the 27th of August 1867.
In the 1880's, up to 4000 Chinese people were resident in Clermont, mining for Gold and Copper.
In 1920 and Onwards Coal Mines were Opened.
The railway line Reached Clermont in February 1884.

The 4 Murals above are in the same street as the Railway Station but down the street and opposite the Hotel IIRC. And, they all have a Green frog in the Mural somewhere.
