Gular Rail Railway Station

Good afternoon,

Today is Wednesday the 24th of April, 2019.

This is a write up about the Gular Rail Railway Station.

Unfortunately, I do do not have a Photo of the Station, but it is believed that the Grenfell Station is either the same or similar.

In a debate in 1881, discussion were had about extending the railways from Dubbo to coonamble.

A survey was carried out on the 1st of June 1883, and, it was completed during 1885.

Trains were operational from the 18th of February 1903.

Six days a week a Passenger Train traveled to Coonamble, stopping at Gular.

The above information has been sourced from the book, Gulargambone As it was.

More info and Photos to follow.

The Photo above is of the Grenfell Railway Station, and, it is believed that this Station is the same or similar to the Station that was at the Gular Rail Precinct.

The Gular Rail Precinct is about 3 to 5 Kms away from Gulargambone, and there was once a bus that ran between the two towns, and , was called the Loaf of Bread Bus. Was used to transport residents and school children to school.

Information for this story was sourced from the book, Gulargambone As it Was, written by Doreen Best.
