Barcaldine Railway Station, QLD.

Good Morning,

How are you all today?

This write up is about the Barcaldine Railway Station.

We first came across Barcaldine in 2014 when we were traveling to Ilfracombe, which is 27kms from Longreach, in the QLD Outback. We actually went past the Station.

It was not until 2015 I realised the importance of this Station.
We finally visited this Station on 28th of July 2015, and our next stop was Muttaburra IIRK, which is North West of Barcaldine, with not trains or a Railway station.

It is on the Central Western Railway line, which now goes to Longreach and Winton.

This Photograph was taken in 1938, and is out of copyright.

Morning, Today is November the 6th, 2019.
Here is a Picture taken outside the Railway Station, under the Tree of Knowledge Canopy.

The Tree of Knowledge is inside the Black canopy which is right next to the Railway Station.

In 2006, in an act of vandalism, the tree was poisoned.
