Special Feature- A Stationmaster.
Good Morning,
Today is the 7th of November, 2019
Ron Selden has given me the Opportunity to write a Story about his grandfather.
"Life of a Stationmaster and Family"
Harold Fredrick Selden, born 8th of August 1885 @ Quirindi, NSW.
When he was born, his Father George was 38 years old and his Mother, Catherine was 27 years old.
Harold married Louisa Maude Green on the 17th of March 1906, in Sydney, NSW.
They had 9 children in 20years
Harold died on the 24th of November 1946, in Dapto, NSW.

HAROLD'S RAILWAY WORKING LIFE.
Harold moved to Sydney in 1903, to take up a position with the New South Wales Railways @ Central Station.
In 1907 he was moved to Ashfield, where his first child was born, a daughter.
In late 1909 he moved to Quirindi, and, in 1910, his second child was born, another daughter.
He stayed at Quirindi until the beginning of 1911, where he was moved to Braefield, where his 3rd child was born, a boy.
Harold was moved in late 1912, back to the Sydney suburb of Gordon, where 3 more of his children were born, one boy and two girls. One of the girls passed away in 1916.
Harold was stationed at Gordon until December 1917.
He once more was moved to Grenfell in 1918 and in mid 1919 another boy was born, who passed away 3 weeks later.
In 1920, he moved to Burrumbuttock for a year, where another child was born, a girl.

In 1922 he went to Jerrawa, where he stayed until late 1925.
In 1926 they moved back to Burrumbuttock, where they stayed, before moving to Dapto, in early 1927.
While in Dapto, Harold suffered a serious accident, which caused Physical and Mental problems.
He passed away in Dapto aged 61 years.
